Apple Mac computers and iMac mini desktops...




Apple Inc announced updates to its iMac and Mac mini desktop computers on Monday, which feature more affordable prices and powerful integrated graphics. Each system comes with Mac OS X Leopard and iLife 09. The company also announced a new 24-inch iMac including twice the memory and storage in comparison to its 20-inch model.

Mac mini is now integrated with NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics. Apple says the addition offers five times better performance in display than its previous line. In addition, the company claims that the Mac is now the world's most efficient desktop computer, with a starting price of only $599.

Apple Mac and iMac mini desktops are priced lower than previous models. While the iMac 24-inch has a starting price of $1,199, the Mac mini has a starting price of $599.
iMac computers start with the 24-inch model for $1,199. The desktop computer includes a 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and 2 GB of DDR3 memory. The hard drive capacity is 320GB. The new 24-inch model has similar features but includes a larger display, 4GB memory, 640 GB hard drive, and a 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo for $1,499.

Apple Mac and iMac computers are definitely priced lower than previous models. While you can get in on the savings, the new Mac and iMac mini are made using the new aluminum Unibody. The systems are better energy efficient which only use 13 watts of power when idling.
The Mac mini desktop is available in two new models with a starting price of $599. The systems include a 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor and memory expansion of up to 4 GB DDR3. The computers can handle storage of up to 320 GBs, plus it comes with five USB 2.0 ports, FireWire 800 and a SuperDrive.
Apple claims that the new systems use 10 times less power than a typical desktop PC.
